is there an owners manual for the 2024 R 43 CB?

I hope so, we're doing our training on ours on Monday so I'll definitely ask. They do provide a check list with all the items covered during the training which acts somewhat in that capacity as long as we take copious notes?

The owner's manual that we were told about in our training in January was one that needed to be down-loaded. I got a digital copy from another 43 owner. It was last updated in 11/2021. The manual is basically a bare-bones description of where items, fuses and valves are located on the boat. That is really good to have.

If you are expecting a comprehensive manual like the one that you get for an automobile, you will be disappointed.

At your training, take as many notes and photos as possible. The weather is better than January, do as much hands-on as possible. The trainers are excellent. Get there early and maximize their time and expertise.

If you bought the dinghy, make sure that you and your crew can deploy and retrieve it. We have no confidence in our ability to use such a heavy dinghy. At least one other 43 owner has concerns about it. Make sure that you feel comfortable.
Best,
Bob

We finished our three-day training on the R43 last month. We did not get a manual specifically for the R43 per se, although we received a large stack of manuals for each of the installed components of the boat. Lorraine and I did take notes and before our memory fades, we used them to put together this set of videos that represent our recollection of the three days of training that we had with Ivan Guzman, Tim Bates, and Kenny Mars. Definitely a lot to learn and I hope as we gain more experience, we can supplement these with other short videos. If anyone notes any errors or has suggestions, please let us know, these videos have not been vetted by Ranger Tugs and although we believe the information to be correct, please double check any procedures for yourself. I’ve posted these videos on our YouTube channel and here are the direct links.

Maggie Anne,

The videos that you and your husband made are really, really good. We received the same excellent training from Ivan, Tim, and Kenny. Since it took another 4 months until we got the boat on the east coast, a lot of that info was forgotten.
I have appreciated all 4 of your videos and have added them into my notes.

Great job to both of you!!

Thanks Bob for the kind words,

Like you, we will have a gap between when we took the training and when we'll really get to use the boat so we wanted to capture as much of the information as we could.

Thanks and sorry for the delay in responding. Your video's are great and I find myself reviewing them several times, hoping to be better prepared for our training next year.

Thanks again, very well done
