Hi all,

Last night, I did an oil change on my tug. Hooked up the water hose and started the engine. When I first turned the key I heard the audio alarm and, I think I had a few lights on the panel but was not watching too closely. I started the engine and she started on the first crank. I allowed the engine to fast idle for a little while to warm up the oil. I shut down the engine with the stop button. I didn't notice any alarms, but I did turn the key off as soon as the engine stopped. I proceeded with my oil and filter change and all was going good. After the crank case was serviced with oil and the new filter was installed. I turned the water hose back on and cranked the engine. I heard no alarms and had no lights on the panel except for the battery light. I shut down the engine with stop button and no alarms and only the battery light illuminates. I don't think this is normal.

I was almost out of daylight and had a few things left on my "honey do" list so I didn't get a chance to look around. Anyone have any ideas on what I should look at first? Could a fuse have blown? poor connections?

Thanks in advance for ya'lls assistance.

I found the trouble this evening. When I changed the filter, I must have bumped the oil pressure sensor. If sensor wire is disconnected, no alarms, no low oil pressure indication.

Well, you gotta love the simple solution! Thanks for sharing your experience. We are still under 25 engine hours on our R21EC, but now I know to keep an eye on sneaky sensor wires when we go to do our first oil change.
