Just removed the injectors for the first time on my 2014 R21EC with 3535 hours. Engine still started fine with no smoke or loss of power but seemed to vibrate a little more. Engine mounts and alignment were good and valves have been checked so figured it was time to give them a look. I was surprised with how clean they were given that the majority of my hours are at low RPM's just idling for trolling. Popped them before cleaning and two were around 1900psi with the 3rd at 2000psi. Manual says 2016psi so overall not too bad IMO. Spray pattern was not consistent between the 3 but looked much better after cleaning and all 3 popped around the 2000psi mark. $130.00 CDN for a set of replacement washers.(Volvo Penta premium) Will take her for a run in the next few days so hopefully she fires up and runs OK.. Overall a fairly easy job for a DIYer. I may have to retract that if it doesn't run well.
