I'm looking for an early spring project and been contemplating how to make better use of the space directly above the refrigerator. I'm thinking about hanging items, but perhaps drawers/bins/shelves. Has anyone been happy with the modifications on their vessel that they would be willing to share? Thanks much!

I put my helm seat on the fridge, this gave easier access to the cabinet under the controls. I put two coat hooks on the back wall above the fridge to hang hats and coats. When at anchor we put a small cooler bag on the seat to hold breads and snacks. While cruising this bag is on the bed.

I use a small plastic tool/craft organizer in that space, I mounted it to a cutting board that fits nicely on the frig and keeps it in place when rolling around when underway. My intention was to build a wooden one to match the interior but this has worked so well that I have kept as is. I use it for all the small stuff, bottle opener,flash light, keys,extra wing nuts for mast and fishing gear. I lost some of that space when I installed a cockpit helm station so you could go with a bigger organizer, the biggest concern with this idea is make shure the drawers lock shut and low enough to not interfere with the port hole.
