The spec sheets for the various models of tugs on the Ranger Tugs website usually include a trailer option and a cost. Can't find it for the R21EC. I assume it is less than the trailers for the larger tugs, but I'm interested in how much less. I found the model number of the trailer in an earlier post, and looked for a price on it on the internet. Most sites don't list a price. But one put it at $3350. That's a standard trailer without what may be some mods for the EC21. Anyone know, though, if that Is at least ballpark for what it would cost if purchased from Ranger Tugs?

I think you could get a trailer for that price.
I recently bought a new 21 with the trailer package from the factory. It's an all aluminum single axle EZ Loader with side rails, aluminum mags and a very nice wench that I have not seen in most pics. The factory set up the trailer and I have towed with it from Florida to Texas and it handled excellent up and down bridges, through heavy traffic with the surge brakes package.
The dealer's negotiable price was 5133.00 which may have included delivery charges, etc. You could order this trailer direct from EZ LO. My trailer is rated for 5000 lbs. A couple thousand pounds over the R-21EC weight.
Very Expensive looking traier with the harness to connect the led running lights on the boat already connected and ready to go.
Hope this helps.

Yes, very helpful. I hold EZLoaders in high regard. Had one for our last boat, until we replaced it with another brand (a King) after the EZLoader was stolen from a boatyard. Liked the King too (got a much better price on it). For a Ranger Tug, it would make more sense to stick with EZLoader since they have configured for the line for so long. Having a ballpark on at least a dealer's negotiable price is helpful. Thanks much.

I can't begin to recall the boat trailers I've owned, must be at least twenty. I had an aluminum FloatOn trailer for my R21EC. I bought the R21EC from Wefings Marine (Marc Grove) with a galvanized factory trailer (name???). I had seen a FloatOn supporting a R25. Our deal was Marc would swap factory trailer for a FloatOn. He had the FloatOn factory design and manufacture that trailer for me. I towed the boat to FL and we switched trailers. Coming back my gas milege improved 10%, towing the lighter trailer.

I was very pleased with that trailer. Not sure of cost, but contact Marc at Wefings Marine; I'm sure he can help you.

I've read some on this forum about the FloatOn trailers, and they sound interesting. I'm not sure they're available in the PNW. Even if they are, though, I gotta get a boat first 🙂 But if (when) I do, I'll see if a FloatOn could be an option. Thanks Gene!

Great value, and from the link, a nice trailer. A good option for folks in your neck of the harbor.
