Wow, Has anyone been able to access and replace the Johnson water pressure pump? Any tips? I think the pump was installed by the factory before the deck was added to the hull - it is totally inaccessible - inside a cabinet and around a corner.

It wasn't hooked up when I bought my 2007 R21EC a couple of years ago. I finally got around to connecting the hoses and although the pump works fine there is a leak on the outlet side. It is of course impossible to see. I think the pump may have suffered freeze damage. I don't think I can remove the pump ( I understand the lower part can be replaced but may not be available) so I'm thinking of placing a new pump in the lazarette near my newly installed transom shower and Shurflo accumulator.

Any pump recommendations or comments?

Mr HDW, I replaced my fresh water pump a few years ago after it failed on my 2009 R-21, I purchased a pump from a local RV dealer, cost about $50. The pump is under the sink and to the port side, held in place with a few screws. The connectors on the hoses are specific to each pump and should be replaced with new pump. It's a tight space for access but very doable! I did replace the butt connectors on the electric wires with snap together ones, made installation and replacement easier.
If you have any questions or need pictures text me and I'll provide. My phone number is available in my photo album. Bob

Hi Bob, they must have moved the pump in subsequent production. My pump is (unfortunately) located to the back right side of the cabinet under (and aft of) the stove - mounted on the 45 degree angled bulkhead that forms the outside step.
However you gave me an idea, maybe I should mount under the sink rather than the lazarette.
Thanks, Henry
