I have 2020 R23 with a 200 Yamaha when docking I see a light oil scene on the water if I leave the motor tipped up overnight with out putting the engine prop down. The motor will not stay up overnight. I have checked the hydraulic oil level and it was not low. Any one having similar issues?

If the motor will not stay up overnight, you have a leak somewhere

You have a leak somewhere, does not take much to make a sheen. Some marinas will get pretty excitable if you leave any sheen also...

Before you condemn the trim system confirm that the manual tilt valve screw is tight. If it is not completely seated the motor will slowly creep to the down position. If you find it is tight and the motor still creeps down wipe the trim cylinders down and inspect for signs of leaks. Usually the creeping down is not from an external leak it is from an internal leak of a check valve. In this case there would be no evidence of oil leaking. An external leak would usually be at the cylinder shaft seal. Check the manual tilt valve first. I have found it to be a culprit. It is more common to find this issue after winter storage.
