As a recent owner of the R23 Outboard I put together a simple battery load diagram to help determine if the 2 90AH house batteries were sufficient for staying on mooring buoy for two nights. The conclusion is Yes, if only have the refrigerator running with lights, water pumps and stereo on as needed. Based on one time the measured voltage with 12.189V which translates to approximately 50% charge remaining. I have asked to have the diagram posted similar to the GarminCheatSheet.
Why 2 nights? Basically the holding tank is the limiter. With 11 gal then expect to have to pumpout after two days of use.
Why no heater included? Two reason, not enough data yet. And if out during cooler days will most likely stay at someplace with shore power. If for some reason I want to run the heater I would consider adding an additional house battery so there would be sufficient power and not drain the batteries below 80% of rated charge.
I did find a really good website ( http://www.batteriesinaflash.com/deep-cycle-battery-faq ) that answers lots of questions regarding Deep Cycle battery. I am using this a reference.
Cool Mint does not have a Solar Panel so that is not shown as well as the fuses and relays. Hence the title "R23 Battery Load Diagram" not a schematic that would have essentially these items.
Hope this helps you in your cruises away from the dock.
