While replacing my batteries on my new to me 2019 R23 I noticed that one of the bilge pumps was wired to the starter battery. Looks like they are normally wired to the house batteries.

1. How do I tell which set of wires goes to each bilge pump,
2. Any advantage to having one on the starter battery? If so, which one would go on the starter battery?

You should have two power supplies to the bilge pump the starter battery for automatic function and house battery for switched function from the helm station. The hot wire from the start battery will be fused near the battery, the hot wire from the helm switch will be fused near the rocker switch. To verify this is how your boat is wired look at the bilge pump and verify it has three wires (one ground and two hot) hope this helps. Bob

I made a video on all the pumps on my 2021 R-23. Guess how many before you watch it. The fusing is in there.

Two bilge pumps on the house bank via the 24x7 panel. One (the pod bilge) directly to the house bank via an inline fuse.
