R23 Center Hatch Gas Struts

I have a 2016 R23 I bought over three years ago. The hatch struts never held the hatch up without additional support. I figured the struts needed replacing as I have on other vehicles and that was the solution. Yesterday I replaced them and there really was no difference. Do other R23 owners have this problem or other solutions?

My hatch stays put with the factory struts. 2021 R-23.

Never had this issue, although I have a rear window on a truck cap that is going to get stronger struts when they are replaced because the current set is wimping out prematurely. You should be able to find gas struts of the same length but designed with more power.
