R23 Door Privacy Panel Modification

Having slept on Charlie Rock for 11 of the 34 nights we had her, and starting an 10 night run starting tonight - I found it odd that the window privacy panels are outside and the door panel was inside. This required removal of the privacy panel to use the door (good for sleeping thru an early sunrise, not good for Marina Head Runs). I switched mine. We moved the Velcro to the opposite side of the panel, increased the handle offset a little and added Velcro to the outside of the door (inside on the black you don't see it). You have to reduce the panel size, but it is exactly the width of the velcro across the top, and the same down the straight side of the panel. It also makes the inside Velcro available for a screen door. The screen is today's project. Will post a couple of pics of panel and screen when complete.

Adding to this old post a modification we did to our door panel. Similar to using velcro to attach to the door instead of the frame, we cut the fabric down to the door glass size and used a product called Snads https://www.sailrite.com/YKK-SNAD-Black-40mm-Adhesive-Backed-Domed-Stud attached to the glass with snaps in the fabric panel.
