Fishing Setups, One thing that the Ranger Tugs lack is a place to store fish that are caught and bait to catch them. For me, using my R-27 Classic in the waters of Prince William Sound and the Cook Inlet of Alaska this is compounded by the abundant size and number of fish that can be caught. On a recent 5 day trip in Prince William Sound, three of us returned 280 pounds of filleted salmon, halibut, rockfish and ling cod to Seward for processing, that's a lot of vacuum packing! To help provide the storage and filleting capability required, I built a support platform from aluminum angle which bolts to the swim platform above the propane locker and holds a very large cooler which is secured to the aluminum frame. I also bought a filet table which bolts to the stainless handrail on the swim platform and the transom of the port aft corner of the boat. A side benefit of fishing in the tide water glacier area of Prince William Sound is that you have an endless supply of very hard and dense glacier ice floating about ready to be picked up and used for your evening gin and tonic as well as keeping your filleted fish cold. I'll send you a PM with a couple of photo's showing the cooler and filet table as I haven't mastered the ability to post photo's on this site. Bob Allan
