Hello, our windlass is no longer going up/down. We do hear it clicking. An electrician indicated that our solenoid needed to be replaced.
We've found the solenoid attached to the front panel within the helm panel (assessible from the head). How do you access it to replace it. There isn't room when the panel door is opened and removing the MFD to access it doesn't provide enough access. The only thing we can think of would be to remove the panel it's attached to within the head. But that would appear to also require removing the ceiling panel.... which starts getting involved... especially if that's not the right approach.
