Working on it
Hi there, the inverter on out R23 recently crapped out.

Checked the breaker and switch in the port storage compartment under the cockpit, everything is ok.

Tried both the remote Kisae switch and the switch on the unit itself. The inverter doesn’t turn on - no beep, no lights.

Is there a fuse or the like in the unit itself? Just wondering/ checking with the tugnuts before I remove the unit and tinker with it.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Did your batteries happen to run down low (i.e., below 10.8mV) when you were out? If so, have you tried resetting the relay? From the R23 manual: "If the house bank drops below 10.8v you must reset the charging relay by switching on
the parallel while the engine is running or while plugged into shore power." I had to do this once when my electrical system wasn't running properly. Just switched the emergency parallel on, then back off to reset the relay. Everything worked fine after that.

There's a GFI outlet on the inverter itself, might need to reset the GFI.

I had the same problem and it did turn out to be the GFI on the inverter. The trick is to FIND the inverter and its GFI. Mine is located behind the electrical panel in the cave. You must remove the panel to SEE the inverter and its GFI, or you can reach through a small access hole and feel around to locate the GFI. Pressing the button on the GFI cured the problem for me.

Hi, thanks for this, however I did switch the parallel in to reset the relay. No change to the situation.

Hi, thanks for responding... the GFI wasn’t tripped, the issue is that the unit isn’t powering on. So the output isn’t getting any power at all.

Thanks for your response. I’ve removed the lower panel to access the inverter, just hoping I don’t have to remove the instrument panel to get into the inverter itself. Again, the GFI wasn’t tripped. So... mystery continues.

I am having a similar problem so I will try some of the suggested solutions. My house and starting batteries were dead.
