I have a 2024 R23 OB. Has anyone removed and replaced these dim lights? If so how did you remove them? What did you replace them with?

“Dim” is relative, but I would not call these lights dim on my boat. Could there be a wiring issue? When I received my boat some of the accent lighting was dim due to a loose connection creating high resistance.

That light appears to be the same as those installed on our R27OB. I agree with JMarshallR25 in that I don't find them dim but they have more of a "spotlight" beam that doesn't light a wide area. I've added a few additional lights to our boat that has made a big difference.

They are held in place by spring-loaded wings; just pull on the outside bezel and it will come down.

On my 23 you have to twist the bezel to remove it, and then you have to take it out. its like a ball in a socket

I've tried to find replacement for those lights as the push button doesn't always work. Sometimes I need to push on and off several times, twist the light, get frustrated, then try again. Eventually they work but would love to find a better option. I have not found a proper replacement that fits that spot yet.

I stand corrected...freedomvango's method of removing the bezel to access the lamp unit is much easier than pulling the entire housing down as I described.

Thanks for all of your help. I'll give the suggestions a try and see what happens.
