I hear that the R23 is selling very well. I just noticed that the base price has gone from just under $100K to almost $110K, looks like a $10 K increase. I don't know if there are any options included in the new price that were priced separately on the old price list. Even thoough the narrative says the stern drive is an option I don't see the diesel stern drive listed in the price list (a $10K option previously). If one adds all the options that mostly come standard in the R25SC to the price of the R23 you are getting within $10K - $15K of the R25SC price. Not complaining just noting my observations. I guess the appeal of the R23 over the R25SC may be the increased speed available from the Yamaha outboard on the R23. As the cost differential decreases to me it definately makes the R25SC more attractive.

We love ours. Glad we decided to purchase last year. Perfect for our mainly day trips and the occasional overnighter. Great looking, quick enough for us with the outboard and many nice thought out features. We would not want or need anything bigger and if not for the R-23 we would have had to look at other options.

Being a wannabe owner since the R23 was first announced, I have noticed the price increase as well. Sales, I believe, have been excellent, allowing for builder to charge the increased price (believe the introductory price was $97,000).

The pricing increase will probably lead us to purchase a lightly used boat instead of a new one, when the time comes. Checking Yachtworld, there is currently a 2016 R25 for sale (35 hours) for essentially the same price (once you figure in the cost of options) as a new 2017 R23. While I would love to have a brand new boat (never had one), my wallet says to go bigger for the same dollars.

Sometimes they have boat show specials you want to look out for. But you get more boat in a r25 and a full shower. Sometimes that is an admiralty requirement🙂

Actually the first 23's sold were $94,000 or $94,999. That was also the show price when i bought in February.
