R23 rear door latch / catch - black , semi-hard 1 x 1 1/2 x 1/2 block - does anyone know what this material is ? It failed.

R23 rear door latch / catch - black , semi-hard 1 x 1 1/2 x 1/2 block - does anyone know what this material is ? It failed last weekend and I need to replace the black , block material - I just don't know what the material is ..it's seems to be a semi-hard nylon or hard rubber material ..any input will help ... I can cut the material and attach it - just don't know what it is or where to buy the material ...any input will really help !
