R23 Tank Level Monitor - Pad mount?

I found a new sensor for my Sensalevel Max that is on my 2019 R23

How close to the top of the tank should I mount the sensor?

It looks like the old one was mid tank or so. How was that supposed to indicate full?

Hi there,

It would be mounted a bit higher than mid level, but not at the top. Reason being is to leave some space for emergencies. So that way when the gauge is full, it's not automatically "too late" while you're on the high seas miles from a pump out. 😉

I tested the new sensor out on a plastic bucket half full of water. I slid the sensor up and down the bucket to see how the indicator light responded.

I ended up putting the new one about 3" from the top. Light comes on then look for pumpout soon!

How did you get access to waste tank to mount pad on the Ranger23? Any photos/videos available?
