Soon in the market for an R25 OB. I see regular advertisements that the dinette table converts into a bed for two. Is that realistic?. I wonder how many have use it as such for adults, or is maybe suited for kids?

Not exactly what you’re asking but the dinette was a comfortable bed for 1 in my R27. Probably not two adults comfortably

Technically, I could see 2 adults who are small and don’t move/shift when they sleep, but probably one adult would be best. I’d think the width is more of perhaps a smidge bigger than a twin mattress. Length wise, it could fit an adult for sure.

I recently purchased the R25, fully enclosed the cockpit, and put down some floor pillows. My husband and I regularly take catnaps in the cockpit…it has plenty of space for 2, and the pillows are easy to roll up and tuck away when not in use.

At 6' 1" tall, I can't fit on the dinette bed by myself without my head or feet or both under the back rests. I assume two small adults would be preeeeetty cozy...

I like sleeping on the dinette bed at anchor because you can keep a 360' eye on everything between naps. At 6' and normal proportions it is very much a bed for one. Same with the quarter berth/cave.

Thanks all for the replies - super helpful. Sounds like my brother gets the cave and SIL gets the dinette bed!
