The fresh water pump does not work. The light doesn't come on and there is no pressure. On the 2009 model, where is the 10 amp fuse located and how do I locate the fresh water pump? Thanks

I have an R-27 my pump is near the water heater in the starboard deck lazzarette. When you find it check to see if it has power going to it. If it does then your problem may be the pump. If it does not have power I can't tell you if there is an in line fuse or not, but Andrew will definitely know.

Remove the Heatercraft heater under the helm area and the pump should be there , Look behind the dash in the Vee Berth for the fuse panel . That will get you started , Look at the fuses first . They are easy to check visually, pull them one at a time .

Yes, the pump is under your feet at the helm... This pump is a known problem... I changed out mine for a newer model under warranty...
Assuming that you have checked the breaker and there is power going to the pump wires:
Remove the square drive screws holding the face of the heater under the helm... The heater has long hoses and you can pull it out and bend it over onto the top of the helm foot box out of your way... Because of the blower on the back of the front panel catching on the edges of the hatch, getting it out requires you gently twist and squirm it until free...

The fresh water pump is mounted upside down under your feet (helm)...
Nick the insulation on the pump wires close to the pump and use your VOM to make sure you have power to the pump BEFORE removing it...
Also, ensure that the hoses are attached and not leaking at the couplings - even a small leak on the intake hose and it will not pump... See if you can hear the pump run...
The hoses attach with quick couplings... Pull the yellow fork out (is really tight) and uncouple the fitting... Removing the front (to you) screws is not bad but the rear screws will teach you a couple of new bad words...
Some have fixed the pump by taking it apart and clearing out PVC shavings from the plumbing left during installation...
My pump would not shut off and I chose to complain and get a new pump as opposed to attempting a repair... The new pump has more pressure, more flow, and is quieter...
In the archives there should be a long, whiny, blow by blow I posted as I went through the process to fill in any details I have forgotten... Now, where did I leave the car keys, dangnabbit...

I have replaced my fresh water pump on the Laurie Ann several times (not a factory issue, one failure under warranty, and two were my doing-but that is another story). A quick way to assess the pump itself: After you find it, tap the pump housing with a hammer while the circuit is on and a faucet is open. If there is power to it and the pump does not work: it is dead. If the pump works during the tapping-the pump is dying.
