R25 fuse labeling?

After blowing out the stern thruster fuse this weekend and seeing the multiple forum discussions on fuses, am needing assistance on identifying and labeling ALL the fuses (where is the stern thruster fuse?) for the 2009 R-25. Opening the stern port battery compartment I see clusters of fuses tied together and fuses hanging off batteries, and no labels. Has anyone created a map of what wire/fuse connects with what device? I am very visual and would like to label each fuse wire on the 2009 model.

I read that in February Andrew has created a nice fuse block and labeled the wires on newer Tugs. Need one now for our older models.

Labeling fuses could be a good "winter" activity to add to our list while the wind is blowing in the gulf of Alaska off Kodiak Island (creating a small craft advisory).

The manual for my R21-EC has a detailed drawing for the fuse block. Have you checked the manual for the R25?

The manual I reviewed showed some detail for the fuse block in the V-berth cabinet. At this time I need to know what all the wires and fuses connect to in the stern battery compartment so I can get each labeled for current and future use.

In the Technical Bulletins Forum, down at the bottom, the is one bulletin called "R25 Fuse Layout" and another called "R21 and R25 Wiring Schematics". These may help you.

Thanks for all your support and guidance. Found the fuse that needs fixing (stern thruster fuse) with thanks to Sparky for her detailed directions on where to find it! Hard to beat this Tugnuts support with all the experience from its' members!

When needed, the stern thruster fuse is an ANL150 and it is on the port wall above battery number 3 (the stern port corner) under a clear plastic cover, that slides to either side. The stern thruster is to left, am assuming the bow thruster is under the clear plastic cover to your right. You will need a ratchet to remove two nuts. Swap out the fuse and your done. This new ANL 150 fuse is now added to my list of what to stock as extra supplies on board.

Still would like a map of all the fuses in this battery compartment area, any one done a complete mapping of the fuses?

Electrical wiring & fuse layout has changed several times. So we would have to look for a boat with a hull number close to oour own. I think the forward thruster fuse is in the bow in the port side under bunk storage.

In case we ever need to replace the bow thruster fuse on our R25 with the Cummins 150....

When I replaced the stern thruster fuse, found it above the batteries on the stern port wall. It it a white 150 amp (large) fuse enclosed in a plastic case that slides off. To get access to the fuse, just unbolt the nuts on the battery cables on each end.

For the bow thruster fuse.... there is a very similar second 150 amp fuse to the right of the stern thruster fuse. What is the chance that this is for the bow thruster?

Just a thought... any more insight?

I have R25 hull #62. I have the fuse in the port-side V-Berth locker and another is accessable when you open the step at the back of the cabin (front of engine). On mine it's on the port side. This COULD be the rear thruster fuse. Then again....

Ranger hull numbers don't work like a sequential number - and are one of the mysteries of life... To decide if you are close to my boat (or anyone) comparethe last 4 characters.. For instance Levitation is FMLT2510F809... It is certainly not the 10th boat ever built, etc... Build date is June of 08 as an 09 model boat...

Our number shows our Ranger was built about 5 boats after yours. My number is: FMLT2515G809

Looks like our assembly started one month after yours in July.

Have you mapped out your fuse locations back by the batteries.....?
