The boat was tied up for a month while I was away working. In my rush to get out I left the house battery switch on and power to the ray marine auto pilot control head. When I returned the battery was dead . Started the engine and used the alternator to restore power...Left the dock to enjoy the Sept weather on the water.....Once away from the marina I soon noticed the Ray Marine auto pilot reading varies 70-300 from the course steered. The Chart plotter boat icon does not indicate direction of travel. and the course steered is appox 45 degrees out from the mag compass. Tried reconfiguring the auto pilot but still can not get a solid signal for the compass lock.
Tried to reset the plotter to its factory setting but plotter and pilot still are not talking, during this reset I also lost any indication Engine Smart craft panel as it is now blank and the control keys do not appear to change anything
Thoughts any one.....
