The connection from the hot water supply to the shower in the head of our R-25 has come apart.

The connection is behind the teak panel holding the shower control valve. I can't see it and can barely feel it when I reach up to "see" how to put the hose back on.

How to I access the back of the shower control valve to reconnect the hot water hose? Thanks

The shower valve, front panel is mostly held in place with sealant and a few screws/nails. You have to pry off the trim, then carefully work a thin tool between the panel and the walls to pop it loose. Here are a few photos of my adventure with the shower.

It is not a difficult repair, just time consuming and annoying because of being caused by factory quality problems that should not have happened.

denny-o: Those photos are awesome and greatly reduce any stress a person might have venturing behind the shower plumbing wall. When removing the angled wall, did any of the vinyl pull away ?

I removed the shower panel, repaired the but connector holding the hoses together, was curious why the factory didn't just use a longer hose and avoid the problem, and put it all back together.

My panel is held in with two "L" brackets in the bottom small locker under the shower shelf - at the bottom. Easy to unscrew once I found them. Once unscrewed, the wood was lightly glued in place with silicon bath tub seal. No problem to remove, easy to replace. Neat looking.
