Looking to buy R27
Since we are new owners, We have been debating whether we will take the cushions to the bow seat when traveling. They take up a lot of space, and not sure we will use the bow seat all that often. Also, we will not be using the aft bunk for storage. Does anyone use the bow seat often enough to justify taking cushions. Or have a unique storage idea for them. Besides the aft bunk. I also noticed that when bringing boat home on trailer that the seat boards were lifting quite a bit on highway. All that holds them down is a thin bungee. I am also Thinking they will bang in heavy seas. Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks

We leave our bow cushions home.

The bow seat bungee is all we have on Channel Surfing. We’ve never had it bang in bad seas, however…
For trailering, you’ll want to reinforce the bow seat latch.
Upgraded, it looks like this.

We have the part listed on our Amazon affiliate site.

Thanks for the input. I like the latch idea. We were thinking of a heavy strap, but the latch seams more secure.

We keep a few extra bungees onboard. It has gotten strained. Have replaced it once. 2023 R27.
