Greetings,
Can you please give me the bridge height of the r27LE. Also brief description of where to set it up in the garmin.

and. What depth are you setting up the depth finder at with the 300hp outboard?

Hi njtugger,

The best way to make sure you have the proper bridge height would be to measure it yourself at the dock, from the highest point down to the water line. Reason why this is important is that everyone loads out their boat differently and will have slightly different measurements. Only you can make sure that you have the proper height entered so you don't "run into" any issues 😉

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ralf

thanks. what depth do you set up the garmin at for the R27? Speaking of garmin I left a message for Kenny today. My 8612 is not letting me register it using active captain claiming it is already registered to another account.

I I bought a used R-23. The broker was not helpful in transferring the Garmin Chartplotter registration to me. I called Garmin tech support. They have a procedure whereby they will email the previous owner to ask if it should be released or not. If the previous owner does not respond within a certain length of time... I think it was either 7 or 4 days...then Garmin will assume the prior owner up doesn’t have a reason to dispute a new owner registering the device. It my case I got an email a week later saying my registration was accepted.

Thanks. My sales rep told me the same thing. I called them and they confirmed that it was registered to another owner (probably fluid Motion) they were sending the email and will get back to me. A bit frustrating. In addition I did not get the manual in my package. Have some requests into Ranger team if they can find it and ship it out. Everybody says the manual is online and I use it but I like having the manual onboard.
