Selling our Bimini & stainless steel framework for R27 “Classic”, will also fit identical cockpit of the R25 “SC”. Canvas is tan, like-new condition as our 2013 R27 is kept year-round in our heated boat garage. Complete with storage boot, and all mounting hardware ready to install on your Ranger Tug!

We love the sun/rain protection that this Bimini provides, but we are adding a custom-built hardtop for our planned trip to Alaska next May and would like to find a good home for this essential option.

Available for pick-up in Anacortes. New from Ranger, bimini & framework costs $2,620. Will sell for $1,600.

Pictures available upon request.

Where are you having the custom built top made?
Any pictures.

Custom hardtop is being fabricated at Boater’s Discount in LaConner, WA. I believe this may be the first hardtop ever built for an R27, but I can understand why as it quite pricey. No pics yet, should be ready to install next week.

Boater’s Discount has done hundreds of hardtops for Bayliners and other yachts over the years, including an R29 and I think also an R31. The R29 is named “Karma”, yellow hull, built in 2010. You can search for references to Karma in Tugnuts, but easier to find pictures if you Google “Ranger Tug Karma Hardtop”. They matched the hardtop to the hull with a pale yellow.

For Seaquel, we are keeping it simple going with white, matching the cabin color but contrasting with our Midnight Blue hull color. White keeps the cost down, but more importantly reflects the sun vs. a darker roof absorbing the sun, keeping it cooler on hot days as well as promoting a longer life for the fiberglass.

Will post pictures once completed/installed.

We stopped for a night at the City dock in La Conner last summer. I met a fellow traveler there who just had a hardtop built and installed at Boaters Discount Center on a very large Bayliner. The work was very nice and sturdy. I recognized the facility from viewing the hard top mod on Our Karma on this site. I was and still am very intrigued with the idea of putting a hardtop on our R27. I spoke with the owner at the shop and he said matching the yellow color on Our Karma was easy because Ranger sent him the correct gel coat to use. Please keep us posted on this project. I am interested in doing the same thing next time I am out that way.
