We will be storing a 2018 R27 OB on a trailer for a couple of months and wondered how to disconnect the 24/7 always "hot" fuse block (i.e.bilge pumps etc) from the battery. Is it better to disconnect all of the batteries or just remove the hot fuses? Does anyone disconnect all of batteries for storage? Appreciate any info on this.

I disconnect all the batteries. An easy way is to remove the negative side and you should be golden. When reconnecting I use this as an opportunity to then clean all the terminals on positive and negative. An annual cleaning is good to do.

Hey Mark, If the boat will be on the trailer but outside I would think the solar would do a great job of keeping the batteries topped off. Just make sure you have the house, engine and thruster battery disconnects turned to the off position.
You could pull the 24-7 fuses if you want to insure all will be good. Getting to the batteries to disconnect the grounds is a pain on a 27 outboard.

Thanks for the advice on the solar panel.Having been in a covered slip I didn't think about sunlight actually hitting the panel. The boat awaits its new owner in storage. We get our R29 CB Wednesday.
