FWIW, on our R27 classic we have two factory equivalent solar panels and a kayak all side by side. The kayak is on the port side and one panel is in the center while the other panel on the starboard side. It is tight and the kayak does sit slightly over the edge of the center panel. Whenever we will be on the hook or (dock without shore power) for long the kayak is off the roof so shading isn’t an issue.

Not sure if the arrangement is possible on the R27OB but since the boat width is the same it should be possible.
