Like everyone has said, the Ranger Tug line-up was the buzz of Trawler Fest in Anacortes. The boats were captivating a steady stream of admirers, Tugnuts, and tug dreamers, alike.

Most of you are already familiar with the proper lines and handsome (OK, cute) overall look of the boat, and there a plenty of pictures available. I tried to capture some details and show how the R27 has evolved from the R25 and R25 SC.

Look for factory-installed solar panels, reconfigured galley features and materials, two-step access to the navigator's seat, an adjustable pilot seat, and practical improvements to the cockpit and helm. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the blown-glass sink in the head... someone was in there.

Pictures are in my gallery. Congratulations to the factory on designing another winner.

Cheers,

Bruce

Thank You from all the poor Ranger lover's stuck on the East Coast!!

Nice details - thanks for posting the photos!

Thank you. Now, what would I do with an extra 2 feet........

Let's see with two more feet I could count to 30.

I have added a few more pictures in our album from the Trawlerfest and some from our factory visit today that shows some progress on our new 27, Traveler, that is scheduled for delivery June 24th.

More pictures of the 27 from the Trawler Fest. Look under Yuukis album.

Nice shots. Hope the time flies to your splash.

Cheers

I too, loved the new R27 and want one...badly. But I do want to add one small correction to the picture captions in Bruce's gallery. The countertops are not really corian. They look like it, but that coloring is just part of the gelcoat. It's a pretty great look and doesn't add any extra weight. If you look closely, you can see where the corian color changes from the horizontal to the vertical surface and there's no lip or anything. I asked Jeff Mesmer about it and he explained the gelcoat process.

Sweet. Had me fooled. Makes great sense!

I still haven't seen a price for the new 27...what is it, excluding options?

Base boat is $149,937, as I remember.

Is the R27 wider than the 8'6" of the R25 requiring a permit to trailer it?

I understand that it has the same 8-foot, 6-inch beam as the R-25s.

Yes, it is 8'-6" wide and we pick up ours a week from tomorrow, after some time on the water with Andrew on Lake Washington. Then back to Chinook to fit for dinghy davits and load for cruising. Any questions after that I will happily answer first hand. Two new pictures of the progress in my album.

I wish we had a dealer closer to home.
It is a 12 hr drive to Kent, Wa from Utah.
Retirement is just over 1 year away.

Our first one for Wefings Marine is in the mold now . It will be Ice Blue with Dk blue accents . We have a lot of interest in this boat and are looking forward to getting her here in Jul or early august . Mark at Ranger says that most of their inquiries are for the 27 now . I think its a brilliant concept . We will have it on a 11,000 Lb Tandem Aluminum Float On Trailer .

Thanks for the pictures. The more the better. I am loving how this boat is shaping up.

Just peeked at your pictures. What an awesome boat!!! Hard to believe all that is fit into a boat that size! You coming to Bellingham to boat this summer? Or Roche? We could meet up. With our 29 and my son's 21, we would make quite the fleet! Have you explored the San Juan's? Are you in a slip on Puget Sound or do you trailer from home?

We will be coming to the C-Dory gathering in Bellingham next month and cruising south sound and the San Juans all July. Most of August will be spent fishing the mouth of the Columbia river and the ocean just west. We are also looking forward to the Tugnut gathering at Bremerton and the C-Dory gathering at Lake Powell, both in September.

We will be trailering our boat, our home port is Chinook, Wa..
