R27 Trailer-Renting

Hi Tugnuts-
We have an R27 at a marina in Tacoma. Occasionally we would like to zip up to the San Juans for a 3 day weekend but do not have a trailer for the boat and it is just too far to run for a short time. We don't need one often enough to justify the cost of the trailer and the hassle of storage since our boat is in the water at the marina all the time, but would like to rent one if possible.
Does anyone out there know of anyone who would rent a trailer for an R27? We would use it to go from Tacoma to Bellingham and back, or possibly from Tacoma to Neah Bay and back.

Hey Jeff and Ela,
The big problem with that is insurance. As we found out when we were reps for the Norsea 27 years ago, we had a trailer for our customers to use. We of course did not want to risk getting sued in case of an accident, so we tried to require any renters of the trailer to provide proof of coverage. No one was able to get it.

Hi Jeff

The problem I see is that my trailer requires electric brakes.
My truck is wire for these this type of braking system.
