The power is out at our marina with no ETA, so I’ve come down to turn off the house battery to ensure that the fridge doesn’t drain the power entirely.

My question is: will the battery recharge as is once power to the marina is restored, or will I have to come down and turn the house battery back on?

Asked differently…. Will the house battery receive a charge when it is turned off?

Unless someone has changed the wiring on your boat the batteries will charge from shore power regardless the battery switch position.

Remember that even if you turn the house rotary switch to off, there are several “always on” devices that run off the house battery bank. These include but are not limited to carbon monoxide detector(s), bilge pumps and stereo memory.
Your solar system should still keep the house bank charged even with A/C shore power off (and thus no active battery charger) with the house rotary switch off - as long as the bilge pumps don’t start running constantly.

If your battery charger breaker is on, the house battery switch position should not matter in a normal configuration.
