R29 Classic Fresh Water Vent Line

My freshwater tank started to constantly be under a vacuum when I would open the fill port. I thought it was the hull fitting so I would spray it with vinegar to clear any corrosion. The screen was in place so I wasn't worried about a mud dobber. I finally pulled out the side panel so I could see how the vent line was run and sure enough, it had a nice sag that had trapped enough water to prevent the pump from sucking it back into the tank. I pulled out the stove (have a little step stool to place the stove on and you will have plenty of slack in the propane line) to expose the vent line hull fitting and took out the slack and secured the vent line with a nice inverted 'U' to prevent water from entering the tank from the fitting. Problem solved.

On the older boats there were a lot of this sort of issues on vent lines. Really annoying on the fuel vent. I had to remove about 18 inches of hose from my fuel vent to resolve burping problems.

Yep, I have to be real careful when fueling.

Same. I removed about 8 inches from the fuel line vent, then had to carefully slope it towards the tank. It was otherwise impossible to fill it even a little.
