I have two dead gunwale courtesy lights and it appears the courtesy lights are not serviceable with a replacement bulb. If so, has anyone replaced an assembly yet? If so, how/where do you obtain parts? (2011 R29)

Update - After some lengthy research, I found the lights on yachtlights.com - part #998560161 (White light/Stainless model). They carry a variety of combinations of lamp color and bezel finish also. I just ordered some, so I don't have any definitive info on fit/finish, etc. I will post update when received.

Hey there Dan,

Great to hear from you. I'm assuming you are talking about one of the courtesy lights that run along the deck trail as you walk around the boat. If this is the case, Richard in our parts department stocks these and they are pretty easy to replace. The chrome bezel snaps off (most of the time they break) and that will expose the two small square head screws. You'll probably need a #0 or #1 square head bit to remove the screw. Unscrew the light, cut the wires and splice in the new ones. You're welcome to call us if you need further direction.

Thank you,

Andrew Custis

Thanks Andrew-good to hear from you as well. I contacted Richard, but he didn't seem to have his usual firm grasp of this component (due perhaps to my lousy description), so I looked elsewhere to find it. I would always prefer to procure parts through you guys. BTW, Monica and I continue to LOVE the boat and are having a ball with it. When we pass the restaurants & bars at the channel entrance here in Dana Point, it is a rare day when someone on land doesn't shout a compliment about the boat. Hope all is well with you, and may I be the first to wish you a happy (upcoming) birthday!
