Has anyone got a 12ft 5in high R29S thru a 12ft high garage door by dropping the trailer tug real low?
The radar and antenna are significantly higher than everything else. Lower tongue and radar goes lower. I have a triple axle trailer.

I seriously considered that, and letting some air out of the tires, then I would only have to make our garage door wider and the building 5 feet longer. When I measured our R29S height on the Integrity trailer it was closer to 12' 10". The end result was we bought a bigger storage facility. We now have a 16' x 16' door and no stress getting her in and out.
If you have width and length you should be able to try it with a good spotter that knows how to yell "stop" riding on the boat. Let us know how it works out.

Having a lifetime experience of putting square pegs in round holes, or round pegs in square holes I thought I would lend some advice. Once you lower the trailer it will not fit on the tow vehicle so you will either have to move by hand or get a drop hitch to match the height of the lowered trailor. Once the boat is in the storage area, you will need to make sure to reverse the steps to remove the boat. The old saying (measure twice/cut once) might come in handy! Have you measured your bridge height with the trailer tongue lowered and verified it will clear the door? If so I say go for it. Bob

Ranger spec for a 29S is 12’-5” high and 38’- 9” long. My garage door opening is 12 ft wide. The scary part is it is 11’ -11” high and 38’-8” wall to door. It’s an inch short for length and six inches short on height. I will have boat on trailer in next few weeks to try it. Trailer is Float-On Pioneer Classic 2022 bought new directly from Ranger Tugs. They no longer deal with EZ Load. I am not sure which trailer mfg Ranger is quoting specs for. I just hope for the best. There is 15 ft ceiling in garage. The structural header for door is above 13ft. There is a sacrificial header at 12 ft that I could easily notch out for radar. It could be a small removable panel above garage door so it won’t look goofy.

Ranger spec for a 29S is 12’-5” high and 38’- 9” long. Actual height is 13’ - 2” on trailer. Actual length is 38’ - 0” from fwd most point on tongue to aft most point of U-bolts for swim deck bumpers. the structural beam for garage door is 14 ft high so I have 2 ft of sacrificial space where I can easily turn a 12 ft high opening to 14 ft opening door. I am checking on cost.

Yes I have a adjustable hitch that when I put her in the shop I drop it all the way down and I have 2" to spare I recommend
you invest in a electric jack...lol

On our prior R29S we stored it in a building with a 12’ high door opening. It was tight but made it with a couple inches to spare. Our 29 was a 2019 with a triple axle EZLoader trailer.

Jim - something doesn’t add up my boat and trailer are 13’-2” high. Prop is 18” off ground. To fit thru 12 ft high door, prop would be 4” off ground. They wouldn’t make it that low on trailer. Mine is R29S 2017 with 2022 Float-On trailer. It was measured twice by two different people with lasers. We measured it at boat ramp parking and my driveway. Exact same height. I have seen enough of your tugnut posts that I would trust your numbers. So why do much difference????

Could the difference in the trailer brand make a difference of 4”? Makes me wonder if the door opening I used was 13’. At any rate yours is 12’2”hope you come up with a solution without having to reconstruct something.

Next week, a garage door company is going to look at door to see if they can turn the 12 ft door into 14 ft. The structural beam is already two feet higher than door. They would just add another panel. On phone, they think it would be under $2k.
I think it is well worth it since people would pay $500 a month and drive 50 miles for storage like that.
