R29 thruster battery size

I have been told to replace a thruster battery with a start battery (AGM is my choice). What size is best Group 27 or Group 31?

My R25SC had one group 31 battery for the thruster and I added a second one to keep up with the demand. The thruster battery also runs the anchor windlass.
I put the extra battery in the small compartment under the port side step and ran two 3 foot battery cables straight back and connected them to the thruster battery .
