R29 Under Contract...Need Davits

My wife and I just put a 2011 R29 under contract and are most excited. I'm sure I will have lots of questions in the next few months.

The first question is about davits. We have a Portland Pudgy dinghy and considering options for carrying it. Are Weaver Davits the way to go and, if so, which ones? Does anyone have a good picture of the install? Thanks

Weaver makes them specifically for the Portland Pudgy. Two choices, port or starboard side mount. See this link:

recently finished the install of our pudgy on our R-29.

davits mounted on the swim platform 61.75" center to center.

We got the weaver davits that extend up 2" and out 4" and adjustable stand-offs.

Looks great! Planning on purchasing one. I see from your picture that you also have a Torqeedo electric motor? If so, which model is it, the 503 or 1000.

What speeds/distances can you go with the Pudgy and the Torqeedo (I know, weight is a factor also)?
