R29S bimini

Our new 2019 (#30) R29S came without the tan coloured cockpit bimini option. Is it possible to order the bimini from the factory now or, at this point, do we have to get one made by an independent marine canvas supplier? Also, do you have any pictures of biminis fitted to the new 2019 29S? I’m assuming that the forward edge of the bimini for the 2019 R29S is attached to the track screwed around the edge of the fibreglass hardtop. I’m especially interested in seeing how the factory option bimini accommodates entry to the cockpit from the dock for a tall person and safe access to the narrow side decks leading to the foredeck.

We have an R29S with the factory Benoni. To view go to our blog. http://www.trailertrawlerlife.com. On your R29S did the factory, when the boat was built, install the guide that holds the canvas to the hard top cockpit roof? If so you’ve got a head start.

It does have the track all the way around. I looked at your website. It’s really attractive and informative. But I had trouble pausing the pictures featuring the bimini so I could have a good hard look. One thing I did notice was that because there is no stainless tubing on the sides, the cover is not as tight as I was anticipating. Do you get any pooling of water on it in a heavy rain?

Very little pooling. If you did not see there are 2 straps that attached to the transom side of the canvas rail n go down to a clip on the transom. With these tightened up the canvas is fairly taunt.
