I’m getting the infamous HPF error code but only on the forward unit. The rear unit works fine, so I know it’s not a pump priming problem. The water outflow for the forward unit is only a dribble, until the unit shuts down. I’m thinking that the water feed is blocked someplace between the pump and the unit— any thoughts on how to clear?

I have to flush my unit every month or so here on the Chesapeake Bay. I have a C 24 and I flush through the sea strainer. I cut off a short piece of hose leaving the female end on it. It’s probably about 12 inches long and I wrapped tape around the end until it fits the holes in the sea strainer. Close the through hull valve and insert hose with water supply into the hole leading to the water intake. Open through hull valve and turn on water supply and back flush. My boat will get growth under the boat and block the intake to the sea strainer. Close through hull valve and insert the hose leading to the pump and AC unit and repeat. My boat also came with a tee after the pump that I can use to flush the AC unit and prime the unit. I hope this helps. One more thing, if you have a lot off growth under you boat around the water intake you might try a round nylon brush to clean from the sea strainer to bottom water intake. It depends on how long a run and bends in the hose you have.
