Hello, my wife and I are future R31 owners and we wonder how you all like the shower? Can you shower without getting everything on the shelves wet? Are the plastic walls effective?

Thank you in advance for your responses .

I use the shower in ours quite a bit, nothing gets wet. Its obviously way more roomy going in the marina showers but I like the convenience of staying on the boat.

Congrats and hope you enjoy!!! We love our Heart Tug!!

We thus far have never used our R31 shower other than to check and make sure it works. I wish it just had a curtain vice the large plastic panels. During our 3 months of ownership it has always been convenient to use Marina showers and avoid cleaning the shower on the boat

We removed the plastic panels, too awkward for Willie to operate by herself and hard for both of us to occupy the shower so I could help her. We acquired Command Hooks and two light weight shower curtains with button holes at the top. Cut the length to fit the floor. That way we cover all our shelf items and the door and have the maximum elbow room. Simply fold the curtains back to ONE of the command hooks behind the toilet and the other to ONE of the command hooks at the door when done. You can make them neat by using a strip of velcro to form a circle mid point of the curtains. We use curtains similar to the what the factory supplies for just covering the door. Works for us.

I always shower on the boat, just my preference.

The stock shower walls work very well and keep the water where it's intended. Worlds better than schlepping to the marina shower.
