The Volvo D4 manual shows 2 engine zincs on the port side of the engine, one towards the front and one towards the rear of the engine. I can only find the rear one. Am I missing something or is there only one? I have a 2014 R31.
Thanks

The second zinc is on the forward end of the heat exchanger, on the bottom, hidden behind the belt. To reach it, I have to lie flat on top of the engine and reach down. It's a square head, like the rear zinc. Difficult to get a wrench in there, but important to do so.

Hi Tom,

There is a running change on the anodes for the D4, new engines only have the one anode in the heat exchanger and no anode in the intercooler at the front of the engine. However like Jeff said, they are important to locate if they are on the engine.

My 2016 (built end of 2015) Cutwater C28, appears to only have the one anode on the heat exchanger. Having never done this before, do I only close the sea cock, or do I have to drain it somewhere before? Will it just drain from the anode fitting?
Thanks
