Radio and windshield wipers

New RT 23 arrived this month. Very impressed with workmanship. Had problems with Dual radio touch screen
Some touch screen points work sometimes. Wipers don't clean entire windows,leave side and bottom areas untouched. Half a window, side and bottom not cleaned. Anybody have these issues?

Same on R27 but not complaining. On my last boat my wife held a towel over my head in the rain. Never expected the boat wipers to work like my car wipers. I think you would need two more sets.

I use RainX on the windshield and don't even try using the wipers.

RainX. You can get pantograph wiper arms if it really bothers you.

I've been using Mequires Cleaner Wax on cars, trucks and boat windshields... works great, no streaking and lasts and lasts!

I assume you are saying the wipers do not clean all the area expected based on the wiper length. Obviously the wipers cannot clean areas where they don’t reach. If they are not making good contact to the window and thus not cleaning the window area expected it is likely the hinge (next to the pivot point) is restricted by salt or other buildup. I have found that if you regularly work in a little WD40 in the hinge joint and move them back and forth a bit they work much better. Also make sure to set them all the way down onto the glass when moving them for cleaning or putting up canvas windshield covers.

As others have noted we also apply rain-x regularly so we do do not rely much on the wipers but freeing up the hinge does makes a big difference.
