I expect that I am probably OK but, as a relatively new owner and relatively newbie all-round, would like confirmation. My 2011 R29 has Diamond Sea Glaze windows. I want to apply Rain-X Interior Glass Anti-Fog. The bottle says that it is not to be applied to anti-reflective, scratch resistant or other coatings. I sent an email to DSG but they have not responded. I doubt I have a coating but would appreciate the peace of mind of hearing it fro my Tugnut friends. Thanks in advance, Jim.

I use it. So far so good.

We've used it on all of our boats (R-25/R-29/R-31). It works well and has no noticeable negative effects.

cheers,

Bruce

We used it for years on the interior DSG windows in our C-Dory. The only thing we noticed was less fogging on the interior windows. 😉 Also used the exterior Rain-X stuff on the exterior glass. We also kept a squeeze bottle of vinegar/water to squirt on the exterior windshield to wipe off salt spray.

How much vinegar to water do you use? in you squirt gut :geek:

50/50 or less. It is also great in the tracks of the Diamond Sea Glaze slider windows to get the sticky salt water out. Great for getting water spots off windows, too.

Thanks, I bought a 1.5 L pump up bottle and will load it with the cocktail .

Thanks to all who replied. Rain-X went on with no problems and I have now also learned about the use of vinegar. It is comforting to have such a great support group whose members are kind enough to respond to even the most rudimentary of questions. Jim.
