Rainy Lake/Lake of the Woods

I'm considering exploring Rainy Lake and/or Lake of the Woods up in northern Minn./southern Can. I've got an R27, trailer and truck to haul/launch. I'm open to some advice, suggestions, experiences, etc. . . . Thanks Tugnuts!

If you have not cruised the north channel of Lake Huron you might try it first.

I would suggest visiting Voyageurs National Park where the park campsites are only accessible by boat. Enjoyed our time there a few years ago!
