I have a Classic Ranger 21 Tug with the tall mast and boom. The mast has a navigation light two thirds of the way up the mast. It has the white running light and on the bottom is a foredeck light that lights up the top of the pilot house and anchor deck area. My bulb burnt out and I removed it to replace it lost it between the boat the store. Could someone possibly check their mast light and give me a number off the bulb. If not that please look for a serial number of manufacturer for the mast light. My boat is an hour away, this would be GREATLY appreciated. Mark

My mast is stored in my garage over the winter....I will look at it tomorrow and post the details.

While on the subject....curious how both your R21 Classics foredeck lamps are turned on? Mine is the second from the rear auxillary rocker on the switch panel (2003 model). BTW Mark, I bought your book. I'm considering writing the Fantail Bartender!

Forgot to mention, that light is a series 25, Aqua Signal, combination masthead/foredeck lamp. The forward running lamp is called the steamer lamp. The one you are referring to is the foredeck lamp.

Dear GA,

Thanks for the response, I should be able to find a replacement bulb now.

Thanks also for purchasing the Fantail Chef. I have two new books completed, More of the Fantail Chef and the Fantail Bartender. The first one should be out this summer. The bartender guide however, may be a while in coming. I want to produce it in all color, and the cost is very high. Plus the cost of photography alone is a killer. But we will keep working away.

Thanks again and smooth sailing

Mark

Let me dig up an old dead horse on this topic and suggest you replace the incandescent bulb with an LED bulb.
My preferred source is MARINEBEAM.COM.
There are others such as DR LED, etc.
Be aware that cheaper is not saving money in the long run.
LED lamps can cause noise on your radios, etc. if they are not quality units.

Denny-O is spot on. I replaced all mine with LED except the red and green nav lights. I figured I only need them while moving and amp consumption won't be an issue. Marine Beam is the best. They stand by the product and service is great.
