Ranger 29CB Dinghy Davit

Hi .. can anyone recommend a Dingy Davit system for my R29 where I can leave the OB engine on the dinghy?

Olsen davit. You lose the swim step hand rails, and you'r dinghy can be a little more awkward to get into and out of than the more common weaver davits. Light weight simple design.

We are going to add the dingy/davit in this coming offseason. What is the range that the davit will store the dingy, while underway? From 0 degree horizontal to 90 degree vertical (ie Weaver). Do you trailer the boat, with this davit ?

I wouldn't travel without lifting it all the way up, about 45 degrees. We trailer over 3000 miles a year, no problem. I do attach a diagonal strap when trailing or expect rougher water. I also had to add an additional drain plug in the corner of the transom to allow rainwater to drain. If you would like to PM a telephone number I can send pictures or we can talk. I have added a couple additions of my own that have greatly improved stability. I struggle with computers and typing but do much better talking and texting.
