My 2 burner propane stove. Won't light. Tanks are full. Solenoid light turns to OK, igniter works, but no gas comes out. I tried two different propane tanks. I noticed solenoid apparatus near hose becomes hot.
Is this a defective solenoid? Or something else. It worked fine one week ago.

That happened to us one time and was plugged nozzles (they are very tiny and plug easily from almost anything). You can Google how to clean them (basically wipe with a bit of rubbing alcohol and use a needle to gently clear the nozzle hole). Not sure about the solenoids.

It was a care of a dumb operator….me…. I went on line for Force 10 stove troubleshooting. Need to dress burner control full clounterclockiwse for 20 secs. I did it for a full minute and both burners lit! I could hear gas coming out once I depress for the required time. Problem solved!

As far as the solenoid getting hot. That is normal. Just make sure you turn the solenoid off when done using stove/ oven.

Something to watch out for is corrosion on the lead off of the solenoid. On my R31 the solenoid wire was crimped exactly in the 1-2 inch gap between the stern and the locker - fully exposed to the elements. Earlier this year (2018 boat) the corrosion was enough for the crimp to fail and cause the system not to work. I spent $180 on a new solenoid, for it to still not work when swapped out.

So while operator error this time 🙂 both the wires and solenoids are common failure points.

Hi. I suspect I have a failed solenoid. May I ask how and where you got your replacement? And was it difficult to swap out?

Easy swap, just need a few wrenches and some yellow teflon tape
