even a perfect boat will have issues - the wood (like cabin sole) inset above the cabin entrance is quite weathered. No big deal Ill just remove it and refinish it - no big deal right? After ordering some Robertson bits - all those little SS jewels were off and guess what? Panel is not moving at all - don't want to pry too hard or the wood will split - frown... it was suppose to be easy... So I either try to refinish it upside down which is not ideal - or break it off and cut a new piece and start anew...

Anyone care to share their thoughts?

We had ours redone recently when we bought our 2013 R27. It is glued in place with 3M 5200 which is near impossible to remove. The guy who did ours used a metal rod with a sharpened end to cut the 5200. Once the old panel was removed he decided it would be easier to use it as a template and just make a new one. The new panel was then installed with regular screws but no adhesive. Cost was $250 which seemed reasonable. The new panel looks great and will be easy to remove if it ever needs refinishing.
