We are proud to announce that our new Ranger R29 is now under construction at our factory in Monroe, WA. Here are some of the highlights of the new Ranger R29. A more comprehensive list of equipment and pricing is posted under our technical bulletin forum. There are two staterooms one fore and one midship. The forward stateroom has an island berth with a separate head and shower. The midship stateroom has a double berth with bi-fold privacy door. It has a pilot house door on the starboard side for easy access to the bow. A Garmin 5215 radar/ Chartplotter- depth sounder, Mase 4KW generator, bow and stern thrusters, convection oven/microwave, wine cooler, large swim step for dinghy storage, exterior sink and bar-b-que are all standard. It has a level entry from the cockpit to the salon. Dual zone air conditioning or a forced air diesel furnace are optional. The convection oven/microwave is located under the 3 burner stove. There is storage under the sinks and a set of drawers next to the refrigerator. The cockpit stairs also make for easy access around the side of the boat. There are grab handles on the hardtop overhang to hold onto as you go up or down the stairs. The steps are gull wing. They lift outboard over the gunwhale. This allows you to step down into the large storage area under the steps. The battery charger, generator panel and fuel filters are all located on the hull side under the step. There is a padded cushion built for the steps that make a great seat!

OK, Now I really do have a reason to go South this Winter to the Miami Boat Show!

Very, very, nice layout, I'm happy to see you guys retained the Ranger's "Signature Look" which is it's own. I also like the head forward & down so you have a clear view out the rear from the helm.

Quick question - am I really seeing a sort of sliding door by the helm?

Thanks

Wow. Nice job. Compliments to the team. We look forward to seeing her in January.

Looks pretty sweet Jeff. I am somewhat conceptually challenged when I look at a diagram/layout and "putting myself" into the space. So I (maybe even Kate) will be looking forward to the Seattle Boat Show. How about it Pat and Patti, want to go "just to look?" For those going, huh, what is he talking about. Out of the last 5 Seattle Boat Shows we have gone to together, we both first bought 22's together, and then 2 years later 25's. I'll even wear my new Ranger hat this time.

David

Very appealing boat! It will be fun to see one in the water when we get back from Florida.

Isn't that the same layout for the head as on the Venture 29, that so many people did not like? Jeff, how is the area in front of the navigator different from that on the Venture 29?

Warren

Thank you for the nice comments. The Livingston's are the best at what they do! It is hard to get a true feel from the renderings, but the space works really well.

Idle Up that is indeed a sliding Diamond Sea Glaze sliding door at the helm. It makes access to the bow a snap.

Hello Warren, Having an enclosed head and shower in the bow really opens up the interior of the boat allowing for a larger galley and 360 degree visibility. The trick is to keep the head and shower from obstructing the visibility from the helm and passenger seat while still maintaining the head room. The hull of our Ranger R29 is much deeper than most boats allowing us to get the shower and head completely below the dash.

Hey David, Judging by the amount of folks registering on the site many of us will be wearing our Ranger Tug hats! I already have the VIP tickets in the mail to you, Pat and Patti 😀

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jeff

Well....we had plan to buy a Ranger 25 in 5 years and live part time on it. Now we're thinking of ditching the sticks and bricks altogether and buy this. What a great layout, look, and price (I'm comparing it to the Nordic 32').

Our Devlin has the bow forward head and we like it. Makes the 4 am prostrate session more convenient. Also, it makes things like dressing, hair care, etc. a more private affair for the better half. I'm often up before her, gittin the paper and coffee. She likes having the berth and head to herself to get ready. Having the head near the aft is more of a hassle in that regard, not to mention privacy issues while docked. 😳

I'm having trouble visualing the aft cabin. We've owned a Carver 30' aft cabin. It's not a drop down, 6 foot headroom berth like the Carver, is it? If so, I have no problem with that. The aft cabin served us well for guests or for storage.

What is the cruising and WOT speed? Why Yammie instead of Cummins? Do you think it will be a quiet boat?

Gotta hand it to you guys. You know how to find a niche and fill it. Nordic Tug marketing must hate you guys by now.

Jeff,
As my first post on Tugnuts, kudos to you and all the Ranger folks. From what I see of the R29,it looks like a home run. It is on our very short list for sure. Looking forward to seeing it first hand at ther SBS.
Jim

Jeff,
The Toronto boat show is in January also. What's the chance of seeing the R29 there? Please.

Gregg

Hello Gregg,
Unfortunately we will not have a R29 at the Toronto Boat Show this year. Maybe next year! We will only be able to build enough boats to hit a handful of the winter and early spring shows.

Jeff

Jeff,
I figured that would be the case. Worth a try, though.

Thanks Jim,

We are happy to have you aboard. I am looking forward to showing you the new R29 at the Seattle Show!

Say hi to Laurie.

Jeff

Jeff,
Toni and I look forward to seeing the new Ranger 29 (and you) at the SBS. Congratulations to you and the Livingstons on this new addition.
