Ranger Tug Experienced Canvas Maker in Annapolis Area?

I'm on the Great Loop in Chesapeake Bay right now, getting ready to put my boat up on the hard for the summer while I go back home to Washington to work. While I'm not cruising, I thought I'd add the canvas aft deck enclosure I've been wanting since I bought the boat. (Unfortunately, King Canvas in the Seattle area, which the factory uses and recommends, won't make this enclosure for me unless I bring the boat to them for installation.)

So I'm looking for a canvas maker in the Annapolis area who is experienced with Ranger Tugs to make this canvas for me. Any suggestions?

Yes, I can Google it and I have. But I'm looking for first-hand experiences, including recommendations on who to try or avoid. Thanks!

I would get in touch with the local Ranger Tug dealer, Pocket Yacht (888-519-9120), which is just across the Bay from Annapolis and ask them who they recommend.

Thanks for this. I'll see how far they are from the marina where the boat will be, which is actually on Kent Island near Pocket Yachts delivery.

I am guessing that will be to far for them to travel. It’s probably an hour drive and maybe a little more.

We got two references: Hurricane Awning & Canvas located in the Piney Narrows Yacht Haven; Custom Canvas Coverings located in the building where Safe Harbor Narrows Point is.

Second the recommendation for Custom Canvas in Safe Harbor. We keep our tug at Mears, the marina before Safe Harbor, for several years. Had several canvas projects done including a complete cockpit screen enclosure. Always excellent work and very pleasant to work with.

We got two references: Hurricane Awning & Canvas located in the Piney Narrows Yacht Haven; Custom Canvas Coverings located in the building where Safe Harbor Narrows Point is.

The name I got from Pocket Yachts is Marshall. 410-490-3824. Does that name or number match either company you know of?

Is your boat a CB model? And what year? Marshall told me that the stairs and roof cutout are challenging and every model year is a little different.

I was really hoping to work with someone who had already done one of these boats, which is why I’m bringing it all the way up to that area near Pocket Yacht. I have a budget for this project and anytime someone throws around the word “custom“ I know I’m probably going to exceed it.

My boat will be on the hard at Eastern Bay Yachting Center — again, chosen because it’s close to Pocket Yacht. (My boat has a leak inside the wall on the galley side that has probably existed since the boat was new and I’m hoping they will address it.) I need to go home to the PNW to work for the summer so I can pay for all this. :lol:

Hurricane Awning and Canvas saw my photos in a quote request and said it's not possible. He doesn't want to try. So don't waste your time with him. :roll:

I know it's possible because I've seen it done.
