Keep seeing a beautiful red Ranger Tug go past our home on Trippe Creek. As one who has been admiring these beautiful vessels and considering a purchase, have to ask how the proud owner enjoys cruising around the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake.

Hi,

Gatsby is a white hulled Cutwater30 so it's not me, but the reason I'm responding is that an acquaintance of mine where I keep her at Herrington Harbor South has a beautiful new red hulled R29 called Nobody Bothers Me (with a smiley face 🙂 on the transom). I haven't seen him on this board though and unfortunately I don't have his contact information. I'll mention this the next time I see him.

My family and I love cruising around the Eastern Shore in our Cutwater. We previously had an R25 Tug and loved that too. You can't go wrong with a Fluid Motion purchase. The folks at Pocket Yachts in Grasonville will take good care of you.

Thanks so much! I've stopped and visited with the folks at Pocket Yachts....

Coincidently, I stopped to check a friends house and spotted the new Ranger Tug....great to have one in the neighborhood!

I'd say it was me except we are blue. Haven't seen a red one around. We stop in at Trippe Creek just about once a week. Either on the way to lunch or dinner in Oxford, or on the way home from lunch or dinner in Oxford. It is one of our favorite places to anchor. It's always sheltered. We had a sailboat a few years ago and liked to anchor out over night. Actually we knew the owner of the house on Deepwater Point. Now gone and being replaced.

I keep my boat, the BAY RANGER at the marina at Easton Point (Port Street). Live in Easton and I work on the Oxford Bellevue Ferry. Where do you keep your boat?

Rich

Greetings, Rich....actuallly, I am the person you were kind enough to give a tour of Bay Ranger to when you were at Capsize one evening several weeks ago. I am so impressed with these boats and, like you did, think it may be time to move to a power boat.

If you were to come up Trippe Creek, we are 3 houses past Canterbury Manor (large white house) on the left. The new Ranger Tug with a red hull is further up Trippe Creek....past the Talbot Country Club on the right side of the Creek. I hope to get a chance to meet them.

Our pier has our Bennington tritoon on a lift with plenty of space to tie up on the other side where a 50 foot sailboat used to sit....feel free to tie up if you ever need a stop over here.

Enjoy the cruising!

Craig

Hi, Cliff.
Funny. Yes, I think I remember you. I have given a couple tours to people at Capsize. Everyone wants to see the "cute" tugboat. It's fun. As a matter of fact I gave a tour to a couple last night at Capsize. Even though this is a long trip touring boat, I can't seem to get past Capsize. Doc's Sunset Grill is pretty good too but I don't really want to tie up against that bulkhead/wall unless the winds are just right. They say a new dock will happen this fall.

I was also in Trippe Creek yesterday afternoon. We took my sister for a ride. She is friends with the woman who owned the big brick tudor style house at Deepwater Point. Now torn down and new owner is building new.

Also Maybe you know Scott and Patty Mergenthaler? They used to live along your shore of the creek, I think. Recently moved to Easton Club. I live in Easton Club East.

I'll keep an eye out for your location next time I cruise by.

By the way: I did see a red R-29 Ranger on Friday parked at the ferry dock. However, it wasn't very red. Needs a good rubdown (As does my boat). The name was Manhattan Lady.

Hi Rich...

Look forward to seeing you one of these days on Trippe Creek or back at Capsize....we seem to be drawn there as well. And, I agree about tying up to the WALL.....I went over the other day and checked it out by myself just to see what might work. Not sure my gang will want to scale the wall from our Bennington Tritoon.

Were you out for the Annapolis to Oxford race....it was quite a seen. Here's a link to pics from the day...

All the best,

Houseguests arriving tomorrow.... mostly passing through driving back to SC. BUT, they might stay for a Saturday toot on the Tugboat. Keep your eyes open and feel free to join us if you see us. More the merrier.

Sunday off to Balto for a few days as a treat by my old company. It is a multi-day global sales convention. Lots of old friends that I haven't seen for years. Sept. weather is so great and precious, it is hard to leave town.

Well, it's officially mine!

Ranger Tug Tranquility will be in the water early this April here on Trippe Creek / Easton, MD.

Planning to be at Herrington Harbour South event with Pocket Yacht on June 8, 9 and 10.

Boy! The Choptank River and its tributaries are really getting crowded with Fluid Motion boats. Our boat "DreamChaser" is on land at Campbell's Bachelor Point currently. During the season we keep it at Cambridge Yacht Club. We hope to see you all out on the river this season.
